The use of AI is a notable divergence from US methods, which have historically relied more on human analysis and sensor data. While the US has recently begun to take UAP reports more seriously—NASA even announced plans to study them—Chinese scientists and officials remain largely skeptical. Most believe the sightings are either man-made, such as drones or surveillance equipment, or natural atmospheric occurrences. The possibility of extraterrestrial visitors is not a leading hypothesis among Chinese researchers, despite the speculative buzz the topic often generates.
